York College of Pennsylvania traces itself back to the York County Academy of 1787. Its campus is on the southern edge of York, a small city in south-central Pennsylvania with a long manufacturing history. Engineering students complete paid co-op placements, and nursing, business, sport management and criminal justice are also popular. Tuition is modest for a private college.

York College admits undergraduates on a rolling basis. International students should apply by spring for fall. Graduate programmes accept applications through the year.
Undergraduates start in fall (August) or spring (January). Engineering and nursing usually start in fall.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from York College of Pennsylvania after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Engineering, nursing, business and the MBA are the common choices. Undergraduates need secondary school results with solid maths for engineering, and IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 79. The MBA needs a bachelor's degree.
York College gives merit scholarships to international undergraduates, usually assessed at admission. Engineering co-op pay also helps cover costs during the degree.
