City Road runs just off the top of Queen Street, and Yoobee's main Auckland campus is there, a short walk from the central city. This is a private college for the creative and tech industries: animation, game development, film, design and software engineering. Teaching is studio-based, with portfolio work rather than exams. The City Road campus is inside the central city, near Aotea Square and the University of Auckland. Most students live in apartments or flats nearby rather than in halls.

Yoobee takes applications year-round. Portfolio-based programmes fill early, so apply four to six months ahead and leave time for the student visa.

You'll apply online to Immigration New Zealand for a Fee Paying Student Visa. Budget time for the chest X-ray and medical, which some nationalities need.
