Until 2023 this was Wrexham Glyndŵr University. The main Plas Coch campus is on Mold Road, right next to the Racecourse Ground, and there are smaller sites at Northop and St Asaph. It is a small, teaching-focused university with strengths in engineering, computing, nursing and health. Airbus's wing factory at Broughton is about 20 minutes away, which shapes a lot of the engineering teaching.
