Until 2022 this was Dixie State University. The new name reflects a push into computing, engineering and applied programmes, and Utah Tech now calls itself an open, polytechnic university. It sits in St. George, among red rock in the far south-west corner of Utah. Zion National Park is about an hour's drive.

Utah Tech reviews applications on a rolling basis. International students should apply by about June for fall and October for spring.
Most programmes start in August and January. Nursing admits once a year.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Utah Tech University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Computer science, software engineering, mechanical engineering and nursing are popular. Undergraduates need a secondary school diploma and TOEFL 61 or IELTS 6.0; nursing has extra prerequisites.
Utah Tech offers merit scholarships to international students, and some can reduce tuition substantially. Check the international admissions page.
