UW-Parkside sits on a stretch of woods and restored prairie between Kenosha and Racine, roughly halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee. It opened in 1968 as part of the University of Wisconsin System. The student body is mostly commuters from south-east Wisconsin, with a smaller group of international students, many in computing and business. Classes are small for a public university.

Parkside reviews applications all year. International students should apply by about June for fall and October for spring to leave time for the visa.
Most programmes start in fall (September) or spring (January).
It's the F-1 student visa. Get your I-20 from University of Wisconsin - Parkside first (they need your deposit and bank documents), then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and attend the visa interview. Book the interview early in peak season.
Computer science, computer and information systems, business management and the MBA are the popular choices. Undergraduates need a completed secondary record and IELTS 6.0. Graduate applicants need a relevant bachelor's degree.
UW-Parkside offers some scholarships to international students, including awards that reduce nonresident tuition. Ask the international admissions team what applies to your programme.
