The Chippewa River splits the UW-Eau Claire campus in two, and a footbridge carries students between upper and lower campus all day. The university is best known for nursing, business, and undergraduate research, where students work on faculty projects from early on. It enrols about 10,000 students and has a close partnership with Mayo Clinic Health System. Most students come from Wisconsin and Minnesota.

UW-Eau Claire admits on a rolling basis. International applicants should aim for about May for fall and October for spring.
Students start in fall (September) or spring (January). Nursing admits in fall.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from University of Wisconsin Eau Claire after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Nursing, accounting, computer science, data science and biology are popular. Applicants need a strong secondary school record and IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 79; nursing asks for more.
UW-Eau Claire offers merit scholarships to some international undergraduates. Awards are reviewed at admission.
