Undergraduate applications go through UCAS with an equal-consideration deadline of 14 January 2027 for September 2027 entry. Taught Master's courses accept applications on a rolling basis, though business school and computing programmes often close by July once places fill.
September is the main intake for all undergraduate and most postgraduate courses. A selection of taught Master's programmes, including advanced computer science and some engineering and business degrees, also start in January. Check the course page for the current January list.
You need a Student route visa. Strathclyde issues your CAS once you accept an unconditional offer and pay the deposit. Apply online up to six months before your course starts, showing proof of funds, and pay the Immigration Health Surcharge with the application.
Advanced computer science, data analytics, international management, electrical engineering and finance are the most applied-for programmes. Most Master's courses ask for a 2:1 or equivalent and IELTS 6.5. Undergraduate offers are usually stated in Scottish Highers or A-levels, typically AAB to BBB.
