Undergraduate deadlines vary by faculty: most programmes accept international applications for September until spring, with engineering and nursing closing earlier. Course-based master's programmes have fixed deadlines for each intake, typically four to six months before the start term. Check your programme's admissions page.
September is the main intake for all programmes. Many undergraduate programmes also admit for January, and course-based master's degrees in engineering and computer science admit for September, January and May. The MBA admits for September and January.
You need a Canadian study permit. After you accept your offer, the university issues a letter of acceptance and, where required, a provincial attestation letter. You then apply online to IRCC with proof of funds and give biometrics. Allow three to four months for processing.
Computer science, electronic systems engineering, the MBA, public policy and petroleum systems engineering attract the most international applicants. Master's entry needs a four-year bachelor's degree with a 70% average or equivalent, TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.5. The MBA requires the GMAT or GRE and work experience.
Yes. International undergraduates are automatically considered for entrance scholarships based on their admission average, and graduate students can apply for departmental scholarships and assistantships, with research students usually funded by their supervisor. Check the university's awards pages for current amounts.
