UQO's Gatineau campus is across the Ottawa River from Parliament Hill, which makes it one of the few French-language universities where Ontario is a bus ride away. It also has a campus in Saint-Jérôme, north of Montreal. Programmes cover computer science, engineering, accounting, nursing, education and social work. Plenty of students live on the Quebec side and cross the bridges into Ottawa for part-time work.

Most programmes start in September or January. Some graduate programmes also admit in the summer.
You need a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) and then a Canadian study permit, supported by the letter of acceptance from UQO. Apply online to IRCC with proof of funds and biometrics.
Computer science, accounting, nursing, information technology and project management are popular. Teaching is in French, so plan to show B2 French with a TCF or TEF. Master's programmes need a relevant bachelor's degree.
UQO offers some tuition exemption bursaries for international students and graduate awards linked to research. Check its financial aid office for current amounts and deadlines.
