The DC campus puts you within reach of Metro stations, the free museums on the National Mall and federal offices. The Falls Church site is in the Virginia suburbs.
Washington is expensive, especially rent, and most students share apartments in the suburbs. Metro trains and buses make it possible to live without a car.
Form I-20 issued by University of the Potomac
Proof of funds for one academic year
SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt
Completed DS-160 online application
US embassy or consulate interview
Passport valid six months beyond stay
The university admits students on a rolling basis for each term. International applicants should apply at least three months before the start date to allow time for the I-20 and visa interview.
There are several intakes a year, usually spring, summer and fall. Confirm the exact start dates for your programme with admissions.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from University of the Potomac after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
The MBA, the MS in information technology and the business and computing bachelor's degrees are the main programmes. Master's applicants need a bachelor's degree, and undergraduates need completed secondary school. Confirm which English tests and scores are accepted with admissions.
The university offers some scholarships and tuition discounts. Ask admissions what's open to F-1 students before you pay a deposit.
