The steeple of Price Memorial Hall is covered in gold leaf from Dahlonega's own mines, a reminder that the town saw America's first major gold rush in the late 1820s. The University of North Georgia is one of six senior military colleges in the US, and its Corps of Cadets trains army officers alongside ordinary students. UNG now spans several campuses, including Gainesville, Oconee and Blue Ridge. Business, nursing, computer science and cybersecurity are popular choices.

Dahlonega is a small mountain town with a historic square, a gold museum in the old courthouse and wineries in the surrounding hills. The Appalachian Trail's southern end at Springer Mountain is nearby.
Students without a car may find the Gainesville campus easier, since it's closer to shops and Interstate 985. Atlanta's airport is about ninety minutes from Dahlonega.

UNG sets international deadlines well before each term, typically around May for fall and October for spring. Check the current dates, since document checks and I-20 processing take time.
Undergraduate and most graduate programmes start in fall (August) and spring (January).
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from University of North Georgia after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Computer science, cybersecurity, business, nursing and the MBA are popular. Undergraduates need secondary school results and IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 61. The MBA needs a bachelor's degree and higher English scores.
International students may qualify for some UNG scholarships and out-of-state tuition waivers, but places are limited. Ask the international admissions team about current options.
