Arthur Erickson designed University Hall to run along the coulees of the Oldman River valley, and the long concrete building still defines the Lethbridge campus. Founded in 1967, the university is known for neuroscience, management, teacher education and a liberal-arts core. The Dhillon School of Business also teaches at a campus in Calgary. Southern Alberta is dry, sunny and very windy.

The campus sits on the west side of the river valley, looking across at the city and the High Level Bridge, a long steel railway viaduct.
Lethbridge is a small city with low rent and famously strong winds. Calgary is about two hours north, and Waterton Lakes National Park is closer still.

Lethbridge reviews applications on a rolling basis, but popular programmes fill. Apply by spring for September and by early autumn for January, leaving several months for the study permit.
