For September 2027 undergraduate entry, international applicants apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre, with most programmes closing in early spring and competitive ones such as veterinary and engineering earlier. Graduate deadlines vary by department, typically between January and April for fall. Check your programme's page.
September is the main intake for all programmes. Many thesis-based master's degrees and some course-based programmes also admit for January and May, while the Lang MBA and data science master's are September only. Check your programme's admissions page to confirm.
You need a Canadian study permit. After you accept your offer, Guelph issues a letter of acceptance and, where required, a provincial attestation letter. You then apply online to IRCC with proof of funds and give biometrics. Allow three to four months for processing.
Computer science, data science, the Lang MBA, food science and engineering attract the most international applicants. Master's entry needs a four-year bachelor's degree with a B average (around 70% for Indian degrees), TOEFL 89 or IELTS 6.5. The MBA requires the GMAT or GRE and work experience.
Yes. International undergraduates are automatically considered for entrance scholarships based on their admission average, with larger awards for top applicants. Thesis-based master's students usually receive a funding package from their department, and course-based programmes offer some merit awards. Check Guelph's student financial services pages.
