The Berlin campus is a modern city site with classrooms, studios and study spaces, without on-campus housing, so most students rent shared flats.
Berlin is Germany's capital and startup hub, with a famous arts and nightlife scene and good public transport. Rent has risen but is below London and Paris.
Admission letter from the university
Blocked account for living costs
German-recognised health insurance
APS certificate for applicants from India
English test at required level
Valid passport and national visa form
The university accepts applications on a rolling basis. Non-EU applicants should apply by May 2027 for the October intake and by November 2026 for the March intake, to leave time for the blocked account and German visa appointment.
Most programmes start in the winter semester (October) and the summer semester (March), including data science, business management, software engineering and business and management studies.
You need a German national student visa. Apply at the German embassy or consulate with your admission letter, a blocked account covering a year's living costs, health insurance and, for Indian applicants, an APS certificate. Book the appointment early.
Data science, business management, software engineering and business and management studies are popular. Master's entry needs a relevant bachelor's degree and IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. Bachelor's entry needs a school certificate recognised for university entry in Germany.
The university offers some scholarships and tuition reductions, and students can apply for external funding such as DAAD awards. Ask the admissions team about current offers.
