For September 2027 undergraduate entry, international applicants must apply by 1 March 2027, with documents due by 15 June. Graduate deadlines vary: most course-based MEng programmes close around 1 February for fall, and thesis-based programmes often close earlier, in December or January.
Undergraduates start in September. Many course-based engineering master's and some computer science programmes also admit for January, and a few for May. The Haskayne MBA and the data science master's are September only. Check your programme's page to confirm.
You need a Canadian study permit. After you accept your offer, the university issues a letter of acceptance and, where required, a provincial attestation letter. You then apply online to IRCC with proof of funds and give biometrics. Allow three to four months for processing.
Software engineering, computer science, the Haskayne MBA, electrical and computer engineering and data science attract the most international applicants. Master's entry needs a four-year bachelor's degree with a B average (around 70% for Indian degrees), TOEFL 86-97 or IELTS 6.5-7.0. The MBA requires the GMAT or GRE.
Yes. International undergraduates are automatically considered for the International Entrance Scholarship, worth up to CAD 15,000 over four years, based on their admission average. Graduate students can apply for departmental awards, and thesis-based master's students usually receive funding from their supervisor. Check the awards pages for current amounts.
