The 450-acre main campus sits on the edge of Angola, with the engineering and business buildings, the library, residence halls and a large sports centre close together.
Angola is a small town surrounded by more than 100 lakes, with very low rent. Fort Wayne is 45 minutes away and Detroit and Chicago about two and a half to three hours.

Trine reviews applications on a rolling basis. International graduate applicants should apply at least two to three months before the January, May or August start, and undergraduates should apply by 1 June 2027 for fall to leave time for the I-20 and visa.
Undergraduates start in fall (August) or spring (January). Information studies, business analytics, the MBA and engineering management admit for January, May and August, while mechanical engineering master's admits for fall and spring. Check which location offers your programme.
You need an F-1 student visa. Trine's international admissions office issues your Form I-20 after you accept the offer and submit proof of funding. Then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and book an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Information studies, business analytics, the MBA, engineering management and mechanical engineering attract the most international applicants. Graduate admission needs a bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 2.5-3.0 and TOEFL 79 or IELTS 6.0; the GRE and GMAT are not required.
