Tiffin is a small city on the Sandusky River in north-west Ohio, and its university started there in 1888 as a commercial college. Business is still at the centre of things. Criminal justice and forensic science are the other big draws, and classes rarely get large. Toledo is about an hour's drive north.

Tiffin is a town of about 17,000 people with a small downtown, cheap rent and not much traffic. Most first-year students live in the residence halls, and home games fill a lot of autumn weekends.
There's no big-city nightlife. Toledo is roughly an hour north and Columbus under two hours south, and in summer students with cars head to the Cedar Point rollercoasters on Lake Erie.

Tiffin reviews applications on a rolling basis. International students should aim to apply by June for August and by October for January, which leaves time for the I-20 and the visa interview.
There are two main starts: August for the fall semester and January for spring. Some graduate programmes also run shorter terms through the year.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from Tiffin University after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Business administration, criminal justice, forensic science and the MBA draw the most international students. Undergraduates need secondary school results and around IELTS 6.0; the MBA asks for a bachelor's degree and IELTS 6.5.
Yes. Tiffin gives merit scholarships to most international undergraduates when it makes the offer, and some athletes receive sports awards. Graduate funding is more limited, so ask admissions early.
