The London Institute of Banking & Finance began in 1879 as the Institute of Bankers. For most of its history it trained and examined people already working in banks, and its professional qualifications, such as CeMAP for mortgage advisers, are still widely used. It now teaches degrees as well, from a base in the City of London. Check that your course is open to Student visa applicants before you apply.

Degree programmes start in September. Professional qualifications such as CeMAP can be started throughout the year.
The Student route visa. Your CAS comes from The London Institute of Banking & Finance after you meet your offer conditions and pay the deposit; the online application needs proof of funds, your English result and the health surcharge.
The BSc in Banking and Finance and the BSc in Finance, Investment and Risk are the main degrees. Entry needs A-levels or an equivalent qualification with good maths, and international students usually need IELTS 6.0. CeMAP and other professional qualifications have no formal entry requirements.
LIBF has offered a limited number of scholarships and bursaries for degree students. Check the website for current awards, as they change from year to year.
