Steinbeis University is built around a simple idea: you study while working on a real project for a company, and that project becomes part of the degree. The private, state-recognised university in Berlin is linked to the Steinbeis technology transfer network, which grew out of Baden-WΓΌrttemberg. Most students are working professionals. Many programmes are taught in German.

Berlin is Germany's capital and its biggest start-up city, with an U-Bahn and S-Bahn network that reaches every district.
Rents have risen fast and rooms are hard to find, so start looking early. Food, nightlife and culture are cheaper than in most capitals.
Admission letter from Steinbeis University
Blocked account for living costs
German-recognised health insurance
APS certificate for applicants from India
English test at required level
Valid passport and national visa form
Steinbeis accepts applications on a rolling basis. Because most programmes need a partner company, international applicants should start several months early and confirm the visa route with admissions.
Many programmes start in October, and some also start in April.
A German national student visa. Book the embassy appointment early (waits can be long), and bring your admission letter, a blocked account covering a year of living costs, health insurance and, if you studied in India, the APS certificate.
The MBA, international management and engineering master's are the most common choices. Entry usually needs a bachelor's degree, work experience and a partner company for the project. German-taught programmes need C1 German; English options need IELTS 6.5.
Partner companies often pay part or all of the fees. Ask Steinbeis about any university scholarships.
