Insurance is where the Peter J. Tobin College of Business really stands apart. Its Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science gives St. John's University unusual links to insurers and brokers. Classes run on the Queens campus and in Manhattan. International students mostly come for STEM master's degrees in business analytics and accounting, actuarial science or the MBA.

The Queens campus on Utopia Parkway is leafy, with residence halls and a large central lawn. Some graduate business classes run at the Manhattan campus instead.
Queens is home to people from almost every country, and rents are lower than Manhattan's. Getting into Midtown by bus and subway takes about an hour.

Tobin reviews graduate applications on a rolling basis. International students should apply by about May for fall and October for spring. Undergraduates can apply early action in November or regular decision later in the winter.
Programmes start in fall (late August) and spring (January). Some graduate courses also run in summer.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, St. John's University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Business analytics, accounting, actuarial science and the MBA are the most popular graduate programmes. You need a bachelor's degree and IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 80; GMAT or GRE scores may be waived for some applicants. Undergraduates need secondary school results and English scores.
St. John's gives merit scholarships to international undergraduates at admission, and graduate scholarships and assistantships to strong applicants. Ask Tobin's graduate admissions office which awards fit your programme.
