The Gold Coast campus sits beside the airport at Coolangatta, Coffs Harbour's campus is a short drive from the beach, and Lismore's is a leafy site in the Northern Rivers hinterland.
All three locations offer a relaxed coastal lifestyle with rents below Sydney and Brisbane, surf beaches and national parks. The Gold Coast gives the most city amenities.

Applications are rolling for every term. Apply at least six to eight weeks before your chosen start date to leave time for your offer, deposit and visa; for a February start that means early December. Nursing and health programmes have fixed earlier deadlines on their course pages.
Southern Cross runs six terms a year, so most IT, business and data science programmes have start dates in February, March, May, July, September and October. Nursing, engineering management and public health admit in February and July. Check the course page for your programme's terms.
You need a Student visa (subclass 500). After you accept your offer and pay the deposit, Southern Cross issues a Confirmation of Enrolment. You then apply through ImmiAccount with proof of funds, Overseas Student Health Cover and a Genuine Student statement.
Information technology, the MBA, engineering management, data science and public health are the most applied-for programmes. Master's entry usually needs a bachelor's degree with a pass average (around 55% for Indian degrees) and IELTS 6.0 to 6.5 depending on the course; nursing requires 7.0.
Yes. Southern Cross offers international merit scholarships that reduce tuition by a set percentage for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, with awards for students from India and other countries assessed automatically on application.
