Oakville's Trafalgar Road campus is where Sheridan made its name in animation, and the Bachelor of Animation still pulls in applicants from around the world. Sheridan is a public Ontario college with two more campuses, in Brampton and Mississauga. Outside the art studios it teaches computing, business, engineering technology and a long list of graduate certificates, many with co-op terms.

Trafalgar Road campus sits in a leafy residential part of Oakville, a lakeside town between Toronto and Hamilton. There is residence on site, and GO trains from Oakville station reach Union Station in about 40 minutes.
Oakville is calm and well off, with an old downtown by the lake. Rent is steep, so plenty of students share houses or look in Milton or Burlington.

Sheridan takes applications through OCAS. Portfolio programmes such as animation and illustration have earlier deadlines, usually in winter for September, and other programmes close once they fill. Apply eight to ten months ahead so there is time for the study permit.
September is the main intake. January and May starts run for selected diplomas and graduate certificates.
You'll need a study permit. Sheridan College sends a letter of acceptance, and most students also need a provincial attestation letter. The permit application goes online to IRCC with proof of funds and biometrics.
Animation, illustration, film, computer systems technology and business graduate certificates draw the most international students. Diplomas ask for high school completion and IELTS 6.0; degrees and most graduate certificates want IELTS 6.5. Art programmes also need a portfolio.
Sheridan offers a small number of entrance awards to international students. Most pay full fees, so plan your budget without counting on one.
