Newnham is Seneca's largest campus, on Finch Avenue East near Highway 404 in north Toronto. The college renamed itself Seneca Polytechnic in 2023. This campus is home to much of its computing, business and engineering technology teaching. Many international students come for two-year diplomas or one-year graduate certificates, and some for the four-year software development degree.

Newnham is a large campus with residences, a sports centre and plenty of parking. TTC buses along Finch connect to the subway.
North York has cheaper rent than downtown, lots of Asian supermarkets and restaurants, and a fairly quiet suburban feel.

Seneca accepts international applications on a rolling basis, but popular programmes fill early. Apply six to nine months before the intake you want.
Most programmes start in September, January or May.
You'll need a study permit. Seneca Polytechnic sends a letter of acceptance, and most students also need a provincial attestation letter. The permit application goes online to IRCC with proof of funds and biometrics.
Computer programming, software development, cybersecurity and business programmes are popular. Diplomas need high school completion and IELTS 6.0. Graduate certificates need a degree or diploma and IELTS 6.5.
Seneca has limited entrance scholarships for international students. Most awards are small, so budget for full fees.
