RGIT, short for Royal Greenhill Institute of Technology, is a private vocational college rather than a university. Its Melbourne campus is in the CBD and teaches nationally recognised certificates and diplomas, mainly in information technology, leadership and management, and hospitality. Courses are short and practical. Students usually arrive wanting a job-ready qualification, or a cheaper first step before further study.

RGIT takes applications through the year. Aim to apply three months before your chosen start so there is enough time for the offer, the CoE and the visa decision.
There are several intakes a year, roughly one per quarter. Confirm the exact Melbourne dates with the college or your agent.
You'll apply for a subclass 500 Student visa using the CoE from RGIT. Have your OSHC policy, financial evidence and Genuine Student answers ready before you start the online form.
The IT diplomas are the most common choice, followed by leadership and management and hospitality management. Entry usually needs Year 12 or equivalent and IELTS 5.5 or an equivalent test.
Private vocational colleges rarely offer full scholarships. Ask RGIT about any fee discounts or payment plans running for your intake.
