The red rock ridge of Sleeping Giant State Park rises right behind Quinnipiac's main campus in Hamden, a suburb of New Haven. The private university, founded in 1929, has three campuses: Mount Carmel for most undergraduates, York Hill with residences and the arena, and North Haven for health sciences, law and medicine. Nursing, physical therapy and business are big draws. The Quinnipiac University Poll, quoted often in US political news, is run from here.

Quinnipiac has Early Action and Early Decision deadlines in November, with regular applications later in the winter. Nursing and physical therapy fill early, so apply by November for those. Graduate programmes review on a rolling basis.
Most programmes start in late August. Some graduate programmes also admit in January or summer.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Quinnipiac University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Nursing, physical therapy, computer science, business analytics and the MBA are popular. Undergraduate entry is based on grades and essays plus IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 80. Health programmes need strong science and maths.
Quinnipiac gives merit scholarships to many international undergraduates, decided at admission. Graduate awards are more limited.
