Park University's flagship campus climbs a limestone bluff above the Missouri River in Parkville, a small town just outside Kansas City. Founded in 1875, it's a private university better known today for teaching working adults and military students, with campus centres on bases across the US. International students usually study at Parkville, where classes are small. Business, computer science and the Master of Public Administration are common choices.

Parkville is a river town with a short main street, antique shops and English Landing Park along the Missouri. The old stone campus halls sit on the hill above.
Downtown Kansas City is about 20 minutes' drive, and Kansas City International Airport is close. Rent is low, but a car makes life much easier.
Form I-20 issued by Park University
Proof of funds for one academic year
SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt
Completed DS-160 online application
US embassy or consulate interview
Passport valid six months beyond stay
Park reviews applications on a rolling basis. International students should apply three to four months before the term starts to allow time for the I-20 and visa.
Students can start in August or January. Park also runs eight-week terms, mostly for online and adult students.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Park University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Business, computer science, the MBA and the MPA are popular. Undergraduates need a secondary school certificate and IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 79; graduate applicants need a bachelor's degree.
Park offers some international scholarships for undergraduates based on grades. Graduate aid is limited, so plan to cover most costs yourself.
