East London is full of markets, cheap food and old warehouses turned into studios. The City is two stops away, and Canary Wharf is close too. London rents are high, even in the east.

Business, engineering and science foundations are popular, along with the business pre-master's. Foundation entry needs completed secondary school and IELTS around 5.0; the pre-master's needs a bachelor's degree. Progression grades vary by Queen Mary degree.
ONCAMPUS offers some scholarships on pathway fees. Awards change by intake, so ask when you apply.
