Morehouse School of Medicine began in 1975 as a programme at Morehouse College and became independent in 1981. Its purpose has stayed the same: train doctors and scientists who will work in primary care and in communities that have too few of them. The campus is in Atlanta's West End, next to the Atlanta University Center. Students train at Grady Memorial Hospital downtown.

The MD uses AMCAS with deadlines in the autumn a year before entry. Graduate programmes such as the MPH and PhD set their own dates, usually in winter or early spring for August starts.
Most programmes start in late summer. Medical students begin in July or August.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Morehouse School of Medicine issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
The MPH, MS in Biomedical Research and PhD in Biomedical Sciences are the likeliest routes for international students. The MD has strict eligibility rules and few, if any, places for non-US applicants, so check before applying. Graduate programmes need a relevant bachelor's degree and English test results.
Scholarships are limited and mostly aimed at US students. PhD students are often funded by stipends, but international eligibility varies, so ask the programme directly.
