For fall 2027 undergraduate entry, Early Decision and Early Action close 1 November 2026, and Regular Decision closes 1 February 2027. Graduate deadlines are set by each programme, with Farmer School master's running rounds from November to April and computer science and engineering closing around 1 March.
Miami admits undergraduates for the fall (late August) only. Most master's programmes, including computer science, the Farmer MBA, business analytics, accountancy and chemical engineering, also start in the fall, with a small number of programmes accepting spring (January) entrants. Check your programme's page to confirm.
You need an F-1 student visa. International Student and Scholar Services issues your Form I-20 after you accept the offer and submit proof of funding. Then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and book an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Computer science, the Farmer MBA, business analytics, accountancy and chemical engineering attract the most international applicants. Graduate admission needs a bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0, TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.5, and the GMAT or GRE for some Farmer programmes. Undergraduate admission is selective, with an acceptance rate around 85%.
Yes. International undergraduates are automatically considered for merit scholarships worth up to around USD 20,000 a year when they apply by the Early Action deadline; need-based aid is not available. Graduate students can apply for teaching and research assistantships, which are common in the sciences and engineering.
