The McCombs School of Business is the business school of the University of Texas at Austin, on the main campus a short walk north of the State Capitol. Accounting has long been its strongest suit. The Master in Professional Accounting and the MS in Business Analytics draw many international applicants, and Apple, Dell and Tesla all have big operations in the Austin area.

Undergraduates apply through ApplyTexas or the Common App, usually by early December. Master's programmes use rounds between October and April, and international applicants should target the first or second round.
Most programmes start in August. Some specialised master's, such as business analytics, begin in the summer.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from The University of Texas at Austin after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
The BBA, MPA, MS in Business Analytics, MS in Finance and the MBA are the big draws. Master's applicants need a strong bachelor's degree, GMAT or GRE for most programmes, and strong English, typically TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7.0.
McCombs awards merit fellowships to many MBA and master's students, and international applicants are considered automatically. Undergraduate scholarships for international students are limited.
