MCPHS started in 1823 as a pharmacy college, which makes it one of the oldest in the United States. Its Boston campus is in the Longwood Medical Area, beside Harvard Medical School and some of the country's best-known hospitals. Beyond pharmacy, it teaches nursing, physician assistant studies, dental hygiene and other health professions. There are also campuses in Worcester and Manchester, New Hampshire.

The Green Line runs into downtown Boston. Rent is among the highest in the US, so most students share flats.

Proof of funds for one academic year
SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt
Completed DS-160 online application
US embassy or consulate interview
Passport valid six months beyond stay
Undergraduate programmes review applications on a rolling basis, though some fill early; apply by winter for fall. Graduate deadlines vary, and PharmD applicants apply as first-year students or through PharmCAS.
Most programmes start in September. Some graduate programmes also admit in January.
It's the F-1 student visa. Get your I-20 from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences first (they need your deposit and bank documents), then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and attend the visa interview. Book the interview early in peak season.
Pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing and regulatory affairs are popular. Entry needs strong science grades and IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 79. Clinical programmes have extra requirements.
MCPHS offers merit scholarships to international undergraduate students. Graduate awards are limited, so plan for full costs.
