Arlington sits across the Potomac from Washington DC, and Marymount's main campus is on North Glebe Road, in a residential part of the county. The university is Catholic and fairly small, with strong programmes in cybersecurity, IT, nursing and business. Many students intern with federal contractors and agencies. Ballston's Metro station and offices are a short shuttle ride away.

Marymount reviews applications on a rolling basis. International students should apply at least three to four months before the term to allow time for the I-20 and visa.
Students can start in August or January. Some graduate programmes also have summer starts.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from Marymount University after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Cybersecurity, IT, nursing and the MBA are popular. Undergraduate entry is based on high school grades; graduate programmes need a relevant bachelor's degree. IELTS 6.0-6.5 or equivalent.
Marymount offers merit scholarships to international undergraduates and some awards for graduate students. Ask admissions about current amounts.
