Liberty University is a private evangelical Christian university in Lynchburg, founded in 1971 by Jerry Falwell. It's one of the largest universities in the US by enrolment, although most students study online. The residential campus on Candlers Mountain has aviation, nursing, engineering and business programmes, and even an all-season ski slope. All students sign up to a code of conduct called the Liberty Way.

Liberty admits students on a rolling basis. International applicants should apply by spring for fall or autumn for spring so the I-20 can be issued.
Most residential programmes start in fall and spring.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from Liberty University after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Aviation, nursing, computer science and the MBA are popular. Entry is based on school grades with IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. F-1 students must enrol in residential programmes, not the online ones.
Liberty offers merit scholarships to international residential students. Check the international admissions page for current amounts.
