Some MBA classes really do happen in a castle. De Montfort University restored the medieval Great Hall of Leicester Castle and uses it for its business school's events and postgraduate teaching. Most day-to-day classes are on the main DMU campus nearby, by the River Soar. The school teaches business, accounting, finance, marketing and management at undergraduate and master's level, with a large international cohort.

Undergraduates apply through UCAS by 14 January 2027. Master's applications are rolling; apply about three months ahead of September or January to allow for the CAS and visa.
Undergraduate courses start in September. Many master's courses and the MBA also start in January.
You'll apply for a Student visa. De Montfort University gives you a CAS number once your offer is unconditional and the deposit is paid. You can then apply online up to six months before the course starts, with bank evidence and the Immigration Health Surcharge.
Business management, accounting and finance, international business and the MBA are popular. Master's entry needs a bachelor's degree, usually a 2:2 or equivalent, and IELTS 6.5; the MBA also asks for work experience.
DMU offers international scholarships that reduce tuition, open to business school applicants. Check the current awards on the university's funding pages.
