Formerly Leeds College of Music, the conservatoire took its current name in 2019. It sits in the Quarry Hill cultural quarter, beside Leeds Playhouse and Northern Ballet. Jazz, popular, classical and folk music are taught alongside music production and acting. Jazz was taught here long before most UK conservatoires offered it, and the school still attracts players for it.

Undergraduate applications for music go through UCAS Conservatoires, usually by early October for the main audition round, with later rounds if places remain. Postgraduate applications go directly to the conservatoire.
Courses start in September.
You'll apply for a Student visa. Leeds Conservatoire gives you a CAS number once your offer is unconditional and the deposit is paid. You can then apply online up to six months before the course starts, with bank evidence and the Immigration Health Surcharge.
Jazz, popular music, music production and the MMus are popular. Entry depends mainly on audition or portfolio, with IELTS 6.0 for undergraduate and 6.5 for postgraduate study.
The conservatoire offers some scholarships and bursaries, usually decided after audition. Ask admissions about international awards.
