The Bailrigg campus is a self-contained site three miles south of the city, with colleges, shops, a cinema and sports centre all along one central walkway. Buses run to the city every few minutes.

Undergraduate applications go through UCAS with an equal-consideration deadline of 14 January 2027 for October 2027 entry; medicine closes on 15 October 2026. Taught Master's courses accept applications on a rolling basis, but popular management and computing programmes can close by July.
Lancaster has a single main intake in October for undergraduate and taught postgraduate courses. A small number of Master's programmes, mainly in the management school, offer a January start. Check the course page for the current year's options.
You need a Student route visa. Lancaster issues your CAS once you accept an unconditional offer and pay the deposit. Apply online up to six months before your course begins, showing proof of funds, and pay the Immigration Health Surcharge as part of the application.
