Evanston is a lakeside suburb just north of Chicago, with beaches, tree-lined streets and a small downtown. Northwestern's campus runs along the shoreline.
The CTA Purple Line and Metra trains reach downtown Chicago in about 30 to 40 minutes. Rent is high but lower than central Chicago.

Kellogg's MBA uses three rounds, usually in September, January and April. International applicants should apply in round one or two to leave time for visas.
The two-year MBA starts in September. The one-year and MMM programmes start in early summer.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Northwestern University issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
The two-year MBA, one-year MBA and MMM are the main programmes. Applicants need a bachelor's degree, work experience, a GMAT or GRE score, essays and a video response. The one-year MBA expects an undergraduate business background.
Kellogg awards merit fellowships to a share of each class, including international students. Awards are decided at admission; there is no separate form.
