Students at ICM take first-year university courses on the University of Manitoba's Fort Garry campus, then move into second year at the university once they reach the required grades. Navitas runs the college under an agreement with the university. Classes are smaller than a first-year lecture hall. You still use the same library, gym and buses as everyone else on campus.

The Fort Garry campus sits in a bend of the Red River, about 20 minutes from downtown on the rapid transit buses. Residences and most teaching buildings are a short walk apart.
Winters are long and properly cold, often below minus 20. The upside is rent, which is among the lowest of any large Canadian city.
Letter of acceptance from International College of Manitoba
Manitoba provincial attestation letter
Proof of funds for tuition and living
Online IRCC study permit application
Medical exam, if requested
Valid passport and biometrics
ICM reviews applications on a rolling basis for each intake. Apply at least four months ahead so there is time for the study permit, which can be slow in peak months.
There are three intakes a year: January, May and September. Some streams, such as engineering, have fewer start dates.
You'll need a study permit. International College of Manitoba sends a letter of acceptance, and most students also need a provincial attestation letter. The permit application goes online to IRCC with proof of funds and biometrics.
The business, engineering, science and arts transfer streams are the main options. Entry is based on high school results, usually with IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. Students with lower English scores can start with an English course first.
ICM has offered small entrance scholarships to strong applicants in some intakes. Ask admissions or your agent what is available for your start date.
