The old IT Carlow campus in Wexford town became part of South East Technological University (SETU) in 2022, when IT Carlow and Waterford IT merged. It is a small campus teaching art and design, business, early childhood education and social care, mostly at undergraduate level. Classes are small and staff know students by name. Wexford's harbour and ferry port are close.

Wexford is a harbour town in the sunny south-east, known for its opera festival each autumn. The campus is small, so students get to know each other quickly.
Rent is lower than in Dublin, and trains run from Wexford to Dublin in roughly three hours. Rosslare Europort, with ferries to Wales and France, is nearby.

Non-EU applicants apply directly to SETU. Apply by spring or early summer for September to leave time for the visa.
Programmes start in September.
Most non-EU students need a D study visa for Ireland. The key documents are the acceptance letter, fee receipt, bank statements showing EUR 10,000 and private health insurance. You register for an IRP once you're in the country.
Art, business, early childhood education and social care are the main courses at Wexford. Entry is based on school results, with IELTS 6.0-6.5. Art applicants usually submit a portfolio.
SETU offers some scholarships for international students. Check the SETU international website for current awards.
