Buffalo is close enough for Sabres games, Canalside and chicken wings at the source. Lake-effect snow is serious here, so pack for it. Rent in the southern suburbs is modest.

Hilbert reviews applications on a rolling basis. International applicants should aim for June for the fall semester and October for spring, leaving time for the I-20 and the visa interview.
Hilbert admits students in the fall (late August) and the spring (January). Most international students start in the fall.
You'll need an F-1 visa. Once you accept your offer and send proof of funding, Hilbert College issues the Form I-20. After that it's the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 form and an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Criminal justice, forensic science, cybersecurity and business administration draw the most interest. Entry is based on your secondary school results, with IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 71 for English.
Hilbert gives merit awards to many full-time undergraduates, and international students are considered at admission. Ask the admissions office which awards apply to you.
