On a wooded estate off Bayview Avenue, a few kilometres from York's main Keele campus, Glendon runs as York University's bilingual faculty. Many courses are taught in both English and French, and students graduate with a York degree. International relations, translation, economics and public policy draw most of the international intake. It feels like a small liberal arts college inside a big Toronto university.

The campus was once a private estate, and the old manor house still stands among the gardens and ravine trails. A free shuttle links Glendon with York's Keele campus.
Midtown Toronto is a short bus ride away, with Yonge Street shops and the subway. Rent near Glendon is high, so many students share houses in Leaside or Thorncliffe.

Undergraduate applicants apply through OUAC, and York recommends applying by early February for September. Graduate programmes such as the MPIA set their own deadlines, usually in winter. Leave time for the study permit.
September is the main start. A small number of undergraduate programmes also take January entrants.
A Canadian study permit. Start with the letter of acceptance from York University and, where required, the provincial attestation letter, then apply to IRCC online. Allow a few months, as processing times vary by country.
International studies, translation, economics and the MPIA are popular. Undergraduates need strong final-year grades and IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. French is not always required at entry, but you will take some courses in it.
International students are considered for York entrance scholarships automatically. Glendon also runs its own awards for bilingual students. Check York's scholarship pages for current values.
