The Hannover site is a city-centre teaching building with classrooms and study spaces rather than a residential campus, so most students rent shared flats.
Hannover is Lower Saxony's capital, a green trade-fair city with lower rent than Berlin or Munich and fast trains to Hamburg and Berlin.

Blocked account for living costs
German-recognised health insurance
APS certificate for applicants from India
English test at required level

GISMA accepts applications on a rolling basis. Non-EU applicants should apply by May 2027 for October and by October 2026 for February, to leave time for the blocked account and German visa. Confirm which programmes run in Hannover.
Most master's programmes and the MBA start in October and February. Bachelor's programmes start in October.
You need a German national student visa. Apply with your admission letter, a blocked account covering a year's living costs, health insurance and, for Indian applicants, an APS certificate.
The MBA, data science and digital business and international business management are popular. Master's entry needs a bachelor's degree and IELTS 6.5; the MBA also values work experience.
GISMA offers some scholarships and early-application discounts, which change between intakes. Ask the admissions team about current offers.
