Georgia Southern has about 27,000 students spread across its main campus in Statesboro and two coastal sites in Savannah and Hinesville, which came with the 2018 merger with Armstrong State. The Paulson College of Engineering and Computing and a strong logistics programme both connect to the Port of Savannah. Football is a big deal here. Savannah is about an hour away.
