The campus covers 400 acres in Midtown Atlanta, a mix of red-brick historic buildings and new engineering complexes around Tech Green. Tech Square links it to startups and corporate innovation labs.
Atlanta is the South's business capital, with the world's busiest airport and a large tech scene. Living costs are lower than Boston or the Bay Area, though a car helps outside Midtown.

For fall 2027 undergraduate entry, Early Action 2 for non-Georgia applicants closes 1 November 2026 and Regular Decision closes 4 January 2027. Graduate deadlines vary by school: most MS programmes close between 1 December and 1 February for fall, so check your programme page.
Undergraduates start in the fall (August). Many MS programmes, including computer science, electrical and computer engineering and aerospace, also admit for spring (January), while MS Analytics and industrial engineering are fall only. Confirm the intake on the programme's admissions page.
You need an F-1 student visa. Georgia Tech's Office of International Education issues your Form I-20 once you accept the offer and upload proof of funding. Pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and book an interview at your nearest US embassy or consulate.
MS Computer Science, MS Analytics, electrical and computer engineering and aerospace engineering attract the most international applicants. Graduate admission needs a strong bachelor's degree in a related field, TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7.0, and the GRE for some programmes. Undergraduate admission is highly selective, with an acceptance rate around 15%.
Georgia Tech offers very little need-based aid to international undergraduates, so plan to fund the full cost. Master's students can apply for graduate teaching or research assistantships, which waive tuition and pay a stipend but are competitive. PhD students are usually fully funded.
