For fall 2027 undergraduate entry, Early Action closes 1 November 2026 and Regular Decision closes 10 January 2027. Graduate deadlines vary by school: the Foreign Service and public policy master's close in January, and McDonough's MBA runs rounds from September to April.
Georgetown admits undergraduates for the fall (late August) only. Nearly all graduate programmes, including foreign service, public policy, the MBA and analytics, are fall entry as well. A few professional programmes accept spring applicants, so check your programme's page.
You need an F-1 student visa. The Office of Global Services issues your Form I-20 after you accept the offer and submit proof of funding. Then pay the SEVIS fee, complete the DS-160 and book an interview at a US embassy or consulate.
Foreign service, the McDonough MBA, business analytics, public policy and data science attract the most international applicants. Graduate admission needs a strong bachelor's degree, TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7.0-7.5, and the GRE or GMAT for some programmes. Undergraduate admission is highly selective, with an acceptance rate around 12%.
Georgetown offers need-based financial aid to a small number of international undergraduates, and admission for them is need-aware. Graduate scholarships are awarded by each school on merit; the Foreign Service and McDonough schools both offer partial tuition awards. Check each school's financial aid page for current details.
