Felician University's Rutherford campus has a 19th-century stone castle, Iviswold, which now houses offices. The Catholic university was founded in 1923 by the Felician Sisters, a Franciscan order, and moved its main campus from Lodi to Rutherford after buying a former Fairleigh Dickinson site. Nursing is its largest programme, alongside business, education and the arts and sciences. It's a small school, close to New York.

Felician admits students on a rolling basis. International students should apply by June for September and by November for January.
Most programmes start in September and January. Nursing starts in September.
International students come in on an F-1 visa. The I-20 comes from Felician University after you confirm your place and show you can cover a year of costs; you then pay the SEVIS fee, fill in the DS-160 and book your consulate interview.
Nursing, business, computer science and the MBA are popular. Undergraduates need secondary school completion, and nursing has higher requirements. Graduate programmes need a bachelor's degree.
Felician gives merit scholarships to most undergraduates, including international students.
