Visual effects, animation and games art are the only subjects taught at Escape Studios, which started in London as a training studio for the VFX industry. It is now part of Pearson College London and offers undergraduate and master's degrees. Much of the teaching comes from staff and visiting artists who have worked at London's effects houses.

Escape Studios teaches in central London, so studios, galleries and industry events are close at hand.
London is expensive. Most students share flats in zones 2 or 3 and commute by Tube or bus, and a Student Oyster card cuts the cost of travel.

Proof of funds for fees and living costs
English test at B2 level or above
TB test certificate, if required

Undergraduates can apply through UCAS by the January deadline or directly later, while places remain. Master's applications are rolling. Apply by early summer for September to leave time for the CAS and visa.
Degree programmes start in September.
You'll apply for a Student visa. Escape Studios gives you a CAS number once your offer is unconditional and the deposit is paid. You can then apply online up to six months before the course starts, with bank evidence and the Immigration Health Surcharge.
Visual effects, animation and game art are the main undergraduate courses, and the MA Visual Effects is the main postgraduate one. Entry is based on grades, a portfolio and IELTS 6.0 for undergraduates or 6.5 for the MA.
Pearson College London has offered some scholarships and bursaries. Check the Escape Studios fees page for current awards.
