EIT's Melbourne campus brings the Perth-based engineering institute to the east coast. It's a city-centre teaching site with labs, where international students take the same engineering degrees taught in Perth. The focus is practical: industrial automation, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering, taught by staff who have worked in industry. Class sizes are small.

The campus is in the city centre, where the free tram zone makes getting around easy. Laneway cafés and the Queen Victoria Market are close.
Melbourne is big, with lots of students and part-time work. Rent is high near the centre, so many students live further out along train lines.
CoE from Engineering Institute of Technology
Proof of funds for fees and living
Overseas Student Health Cover
English test at required level
Genuine Student statement
Valid passport and health check
EIT admits students on a rolling basis. Apply at least three months before the intake for the CoE and visa.
Courses start in February and July.
The Student visa, subclass 500. Engineering Institute of Technology issues a Confirmation of Enrolment after you accept and pay the deposit; the application itself needs proof of funds, health cover (OSHC) and a Genuine Student statement.
Industrial automation, mechanical and electrical engineering are the main programmes. Bachelor's entry needs secondary school with maths and physics; the master's needs a related bachelor's degree and IELTS 6.5.
EIT sometimes offers international tuition reductions. Check its website or ask admissions.
