A palace among Rhine vineyards and a law school in the state capital: that is EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, a private university for business and law west of Frankfurt. The business school has its roots at Schloss Reichartshausen in Oestrich-Winkel, and the law school is in Wiesbaden. Classes are small, fees are high by German standards, and many master's courses are taught in English.

Wiesbaden is the capital of Hesse, known for its spa buildings and villa streets. Oestrich-Winkel is a wine village on the Rhine about half an hour west.
Frankfurt is well under an hour by S-Bahn or regional train. Rents in Wiesbaden are high, and most students share flats.
Admission letter from EBS Universität
Blocked account for living costs
German-recognised health insurance
APS certificate for applicants from India
English test at required level
Valid passport and national visa form
EBS runs admissions in rounds through the year, with an interview or assessment day as part of selection. Non-EU applicants should apply by spring to allow time for the blocked account and visa.
Programmes start in the autumn, usually in September. Check each programme page for exact dates.
You'll need a national visa for study. The blocked account is the part people forget to open in time, so start it as soon as the admission letter arrives. Indian applicants also need an APS certificate.
The management, finance and real estate master's programmes and the general management bachelor are popular. Master's applicants need a bachelor's degree and IELTS 6.5, and selection includes an interview.
Ask EBS admissions about current merit scholarships and payment plans. The Deutschlandstipendium, a national merit award, is also offered at many German universities.
