Non-EU undergraduate applicants apply directly to DCU on a rolling basis for September, with most programmes closing by 1 July 2027; apply by spring to leave time for your visa. Taught master's programmes are also rolling, but popular computing and business courses often close by June once full.
September is the main intake for all undergraduate and most postgraduate courses. A small number of taught master's programmes, mainly in engineering and computing, also start in January. Check the course page for the current January options.
Students from outside the EU need an Irish study visa (D visa) if their nationality requires one, applied for online after paying fees, with proof of funds of EUR 10,000 a year and private medical insurance. After arrival you register with immigration for an Irish Residence Permit.
Computing, data analytics, management, electronic and computer engineering and finance are the most applied-for programmes. Master's entry usually needs a 2:1 honours degree or equivalent (around 60-65% for Indian degrees) and IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0.
Yes. DCU offers merit scholarships for international students that reduce tuition for undergraduate and master's applicants, including awards for students from India, usually assessed from your application. Check the university's scholarships page for the current amounts and closing dates.
